I do phonetics and experimental cognitive linguistics. My work is fully in line with the complex adaptive systems perspective on language: I view language and speech as a dynamical system that is culturally evolved and inseparably interwoven with our brains and bodies.
Aside from these topics, I have an interest in teaching contemporary statistical methods. As I'm continuing to learn new analysis approaches, I write tutorials that capture my learning process and that hopefully help others with their own analyses. I also give workshops on stats, in particular mixed models.
